As Canada’s leading tax preparation firm, H&R Block Canada has employees in nearly 1,000 offices across the country. Each quarter, they hold a town hall event from their Calgary headquarters, keeping their entire team up-to-date on recent developments.
H&R Block partners with Maven to provide live streaming services for these events, ensuring that each virtual attendee can experience the townhall at the highest level of quality.
Maven broadcasts the presentations onsite from H&R Block’s headquarters using a single-camera setup. We also provide a studio lighting kit that allows us to match H&R Block’s brand colors, or dynamically change the colour for each presenter.
Our setup includes a comfort monitor and on-camera teleprompter to provide each presenter the support they need to perform at their best. Presenters, crew, and other stakeholders take part in a full afternoon of rehearsals, which is essential for testing presentations, rehearsing cues, streamlining scripts, and ensuring everything is ready to go live.
Maven streams the presentations across Canada via H&R Block’s Microsoft Teams. We also record a high-quality broadcast feed to share with attendees after the event. If a presentation requires a second language, we produce a separate live stream with simultaneous interpretation and copy translation, which runs alongside the English broadcast.
