We’re all very aware by now that the world has changed in a lot of ways over the past year or so. Everyone has had to adapt and make changes to how they run their businesses.
One of the areas that has been greatly affected is events and the transition from in-person to live and hybrid events. While this may have presented a challenge to some, Maven is proud to say that we’ve been a big part of helping businesses make a seamless transition over the last few months.
One thing you may not know about live and hybrid events is that they’re just as (if not more) complex than in-person events.
In addition to figuring out the agenda, attendee list, speakers, and regular logistics around an event, live and hybrid events require the coordination of presenters for live training and sound checks, dealing with the technology side of things, troubleshooting poor internet connections, and handling presenters both remote and in-person.
These events also require the development of a detailed run of show which means collecting assets and presentation slides and figuring out the detailed timing of the event.
At Maven, we take live events to the next level by helping our clients to select and build out a virtual platform that makes the most sense for their unique event. We focus on thinking through both the presenter and attendee experiences so every angle is considered and every little detail is taken care of.
2021 has shaped up to be a busy year for our live production team so far. We’ve already worked with tons of incredible clients. Here are a few to give you an idea of what we’ve been up to!
Maven produced 3-days of broadcast-ready content for H&R Blocks’ Virtual National Leadership Meeting. Utilizing a green screen studio and real-time processing in Unreal Engine, we placed each presenter in a 3D virtual set environment, complete with their presentation content. The project included 5 days of filming, custom motion graphics and sound design, and over 130 hours of post-production.
Maven provided full-service event production for The Alberta Economic Development Leaders’ Summit & Conference. Our team developed conference branding and the virtual platform, including registration flow and email communications.
We then coordinated over 90 high-profile speakers and handled all onsite production. The final result was two days of streaming featuring pre-recorded content, live Q&A, and awards.
JA’s 60th Anniversary Virtual Celebration was broadcast from the Pioneer on Stephen Ave and featured Daniel Smith as the host. The program included pre-recorded segments, announcements, and a virtual panel discussion. A combination of studio lighting, sliding cameras, and broadcast graphics resulted in a TV-quality program feed which was then broadcasted to a custom event website developed by our marketing team.
Bringing together hundreds of youth from over 40 Clubs, Stronger Connection is a 5-day program with after-school activities at local Clubs ending with a national live virtual event.
Maven provided social media strategy and management, website development, and live event production. We streamed the virtual forum in English and French, which included multiple speakers, highlights from the week, live Q&A, and virtual confetti.
We’ve had such a great time putting together these live events for so many great businesses this year, and we’re certain the second half of the year will also have a lot to offer.
If you’ve been thinking about making the transition to a live or hybrid event, we would love to help you make it a success! Give us a call and we can work together to create a high quality production everyone is sure to enjoy.
