Ringing in the New Year

Every New Year’s Eve people gather at New Covenant Assembly to experience Open Heavens - Calgary’s largest free gospel concert. This event brings a wide variety of artists to help the community ring in the new year. We’ve been working with New Covenant Assembly to live stream their yearly concert since 2015, and the production has only gotten bigger and better over time.

Praise worthy production

At the end of each year, we roll in our mini-broadcast van and flypack B system, specially built to mix live video signals for projection and live streaming for live shows, sports and conferences. Our first year streaming the Open Heavens experience was a basic three camera show which then turned into four to five camera broadcasts mixed from our production van. In 2018, this progressed to a four camera, 2M/E REMI setup allowing us to direct and mix many elements of the live show from our Calgary studio, reducing our onsite footprint.

Live music has a special feel to it, so we also created a broadcast specific audio mix to ensure the audience could hear and vibe to the music as intended. With our live broadcasting services, the Open Heavens audience extends far beyond the New Covenant Assembly auditorium. Audiences can tune in from anywhere in the world via Facebook Live or the church website.
